I'm either missing something quite simple, or what I wish to do is impossible. This is what I'm trying to do: I will be generating a new font on the Mac, it will be in the PostScript format. Now, my problem lies in using that font with TeX. ***I can generate the tfm file, how do I generate the pk (or gf) ***files so that I may print the .dvi files ? One possible answer will be to use the virtual fonts, etc, and let the font remain as a PostScript font; use the dvips mentioned in the comp.text.tex FAQ which allows direct use of PostScript fonts in TeX. Is there any easier method ? (Using the new dvips requires new tfm files, and possibly the latest TeX too, I am currently using an old version.) Hopefully, there are other methods available. Loss of quality (a bit, at least) is acceptable. -- --------------------------- Avinash Chopde home : 508 470 1190 office : 617 224 5582 (Reply broken, use this address): contex!avinash@uunet.uu.net
