[comp.fonts] theTypeBook ?????

fore@athena.cs.uga.edu (Howard Fore) (01/24/91)

Does anyone have a copy of theTypeBook? It is a shareware utility for the Macintosh by Jim Lewis that produces spec sheets for your fonts. It was recently reviewed in Personal Publishing (February '91). Any suggestions or would someone like to post it? Please? Pretty please?

I sent this utility to a few different people and one of themn said
that he uploaded it SUMEX. I could mail it to you if you like, or if someone
tells me how to post it I'll do that. If you send posting instructions, please
keep in mind that I am using VNEWS software on a VMS system.

Yup.. the U-M Archives has it on line (plus yet another dozen or so
new fonts.. heck.. I think we got maybe 40 or so new fonts since I last
posted to this group.. all type one, of course)

To retrieve the TypeBook utility, ftp to 35.1.1.43, log in anonymously
type in "cd PC2:" to switch to the Macintosh directory, type in
"get ut/typebook typebook.sit.hqx" and walahh.. you have the
TypeBook utility.

Let me know if you have any questions.. I love answering 'em..

Sorry about that folks.

What I meant to say was that theTypeBook is by Jim Lewis and that it was
reviewsed in the Feb '91 issue of Personal Publishing. If anybody has this,
could they please post it or send it to me? Oh yeah, the program makes type
spec sheets for your Mac's fonts.

Thanks.
