How does one go about creating a TeX font frmom scractch? Arethere there such things as TeX font editors, similar to Fontographer on the Mac? Better yet, ist there a way to convert existing Type !1 PostScript fonts to TeX? why convert them to TeX? why not just use them in TeX as they stand?
TeX *has no preconceptions about fonts* - the fact that it comes with
Metafont and .pk files and all that is irrelevant
