[comp.fonts] HELP getting fonts from U-Mich archives?!?!

I am having a very hard time getting anything off of the archives at the university of Michigan.  I have tried all of the methods suggested and they have 
not worked for me so far.  Could anybody that knows how to do it please
reply to my box or post the result.  Please inclde an example of the text
entered to get the files.

I am assuming that you are talking about um-mts.cc.umich.edu, and that you
are trying to download Macintosh fonts in the PC2 directory, so here is how.

First change to PC2 directory by typing 'cd PC2:'
If the name of the file you are getting is 'FO/FONTNAME', then type
'get "FO/FONTNAME" fontname.hqx'
This will get the file 'FONTNAME' which is a binhexed font and call it
'fontname.hqx' on your system.
If you just type 'get "FO/FONTNAME"', it will try to stick 'FONTNAME'
into your current directory 'FO', calling it 'FONTNAME'.
NOTE:  You must use the " characters and the local file name, unless
       you have a directory called 'FO' on your system in the current
       working directory
