Does anyone out there know about Vietnamese fonts for the Macintosh? Someone in our office is trying to create a Vietnamese newsletter and we have not been able to find anything that will do Vietnamese well. About a year ago (this has been going on for a while) we found a company that claimed they had a Vietnamese font, but it was very difficult to use and the characters looked rather poor. If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Matt Wu mwu@teri.bio.uci.edu or mwu@cotman.bio.uci.edu

I am currently using Mac Vietnamese but the number of fonts is sort of limited (Helvetica, Zap Chancery, Times). The printout from here is not bad at all. Though the sequences to create the characters is sort of complicated. There is aloo another set of Vietnamese fonts call VN Fonts Classic which have alot more Typefaces in it and is easier to use (in my opinion) . This package was written by GIGI Soft and they are selling it for $149 I think it has 4 Typefaces in the package but don't quote me on this. The company is base in Orange County but I do not have an address or phone number for them there. I do know a person who work in that group and is currently living in San Jose. Unfortunately I do not have his number here. If you are really interested let me know and I will search for his number. Hopes that help some. Kim Do do@nsipo.nasa.gov
