I am looking for public domain sources for X bitmap fonts and Hershey format (or even better, DataViews format) stroke fonts for Kanji and Hangul. Please mail your responses and I will post a summary. -- David Boyle ...uunet!gca!boyle or boyle@gca.com GCA, a unit of General Signal (508) 837-3869 or (508) 975-0000 Andover, MA 01810

Please mail your responses and I will post a summary. I've got a collection of Chinese, Japanese and Korean X11 fonts on: crl.nmsu.edu:pub/chinese/fonts/ [128.123.1.14] :pub/japanese/fonts/ :pub/korean/korean-fonts.tar.Z There are only 2 Korean fonts, they are both 16x16 Jamos and Hangul fonts. There are a number of Kanji fonts in a number of sizes. As for stroked fonts, as far as I know, there are no usable Chinese, Japanese, or Korean stroked fonts (in any format) freely available. I would love to be wrong about this! If I am, *PLEASE* tell me about it! I have been looking for freely available stroked (Postscript, TeX, etc) fonts for a LONG TIME! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- mleisher@nmsu.edu "I laughed.
