I am writing a book and would like others views on the type and layout i have selected for it. It is a book on the vax/vms system used here at auburn. I am Using Microsoft word for windows and ATM1.1 Many thanks for the fonts those of you have posted to the anonymous FTP sites they have helped loads. :-) The body is 11pt calson. Headers are in vering point sizes of times bold with vering negative left justification. tables are in Helvetica. Lists use dingbats filled in boxes (n on the keyboard) left of the indented text. Computer output is in letter gothic and computer input (i.i what the person should type) is in boldface souviner. nots are enclosed in double lined boxes centered on the page with italic Helvetica. Let me know what you all think of the combonation of typefaces. I have a hard time setteling on a face for the body and how much it should be leaded. I would like to know if anone else has typeset a book for themselves. just one note the printers will let me give it to the in postscript to be printed on a 1200 dpi lintonic printer for $1,200 more or I can print it myself at 300 dpi and save the 1200 bucks. I would like to know the thoughts on that too. thanks, ============================================================================== Rick H.
