[comp.fonts] Hershey Fonts

dow@wjh12.harvard.edu (Dominik Wujastyk) (04/10/88)

Duh. This may sound elementary, but could someone post some simple
documentation explaining what the Hershey fonts are, how they work, what
one can do with them, and where they can be obtained? Oh yes, and what
systems they work on?

Are these fonts public domain or commercially sold? If they are public domain
where can I get them? Is there any ftp site for them? Thanks.

Can someone give me an ftp site which haas the Hershey fonts in an intelligible
format? The need is for a pen plotter. Please mail response to
brad@bert.chem.wisc.edu (that's me on my own system).
(I know the fonts can be acquired on floppy from NTIS).

Thanks.
