Note one problem of the Penril 212 modem, which you may not find out about unless you are as paranoid as I was: the autodialer option does not give you software control of dialout speed. The dialout speed is taken from the front-panel button. It looked very attractive until we heard that. This info is as of early this spring, so maybe Penril has fixed this botch since.
