OK, standard question number 1. We have a Mac II with A/UX on loan from Apple. It came with no documentation, except online, and the man page for networking is gone. Can anyone mail me a quick tutorial on how to turn on Berkeley networking and bring the machine up on the ethernet? Thanks, Robert -- Robert K. I am not a A/UXoid nor am I in the A/UX support group, but here goes... In article <1260@uokmax.UUCP> rob@uokmax.UUCP (Robert K. Shull) writes: > >OK, standard question number 1. You need to modify the /etc/inittab file to bring up networking. The inittab file is commented and tells you what lines to change. Be sure to backup the file before you make changes. The changes to be made are fairly easy and self-explanatory. sorry about the imcomplete nature of this posting. perhaps someone with the manuals in hand can flesh out the details. my manuals are at work... -- Byron Han, Communications Tool "OS/2 - Half of an operating system." You must also run the script /etc/newunix to force the system to reconfigure itself with the networking software in the kernel.
