The file /usr/lib/sendmail.cf contains the line: Mtty, P=/usr/local/bin/send, F=rlsS, S=10, R=20, A=send $u, M=2048 There is no file, /usr/local/bin/send on our Mac II, delivered in February with A/UX installed. We don't appear to be able to receive mail on this machine without this file present. ???????? Earle R. As explained somewhere in the documentation (sorry don't remember exactly where, there's a lot of it |-) The tty mailer is used to implement the "SEND" SMTP command. SEND may be used to deliver a message to a user's terminal instead of his mail box. Since I don't know of anything using SEND this is probably pretty useless, but... In the mean time you can leave the existing Mtty line in and if you want to use the SEND feature note that it will be called with the user's name as it's first and only argument and the message will be present on standard in. It was probably bad planning on our part to reference an program that didn't exist but... > >???????? >Earle R.
