[comp.unix.aux] 3rd party hard drives for AUX

russell@caribou.USWest.COM (12/23/88)

Does anyone out there have any experience using third party hard disks
with AUX? Which ones work, and how should they be formatted, installed,
and partitioned? What is the best way to install the AUX software on a
3rd party HD?

I am thinking of using the CMS/CDC 150 or 300 MB disk. Does anyone
know about these?

Thanks,

Russell

I have been running Jasmine 80 and 300 megabyte drives under both
A/UX and MacOS for all of this last year. Right now I am running three
Jasmine 300 megabyte Wren drives, so you might say I like them!
The recent (since some time this summer) Jasmine Driveware used the
newer disk formats and can run both A/UX and MacOS partitions if one
does the partitioning work themselvs. I have dp scripts to do this
for me, which makes life much easyer.
