I am interested in adding a large HD (>300MB) to my Mac II running A/UX. Since Apple does not currently manufacture HDs of this size, what experiences have people had with third party hardware? Does anyone have an opinion of the MicroNet Technology Micro/Max Series (i.e. the 321MB SB-330)? Please note that I'd like to get an HD that allows both MacOS and A/UX partitions. Thanks in advance... The MicroNet drives are built from the CDC Wren III, IV, and V series, with very high performance statistics. They have up to 600mb of storage, with access times around 16ms, and they even have a new Wren V "Runner" that has 10ms access time (UNcached!). I've heard many good things about these drives and I have personally purchased a hard drive from MicroNet (although it was a Rodime and not a CDC - about nine months ago). They were more than helpful, and I plan to replace my 140mb drive with a CDC sometime soon (also to be purchased from MicroNet). The drivers that they ship with the CDC drives support both A/UX and Mac-OS. }Thanks in advance... No problem... (no relation to Micronet other than a happy customer)
