There is a patch for the A/UX 1.0 ethernet driver. This patch helps eliminate the problem the driver has in resetting the card correctly after an overflow condition on the receive buffer. This patch greatly reduces the chances of the card going into an off line state, which would require manual intervention to get the card up again. If you've been seeing alot of these: ae6_intr: receive overflow warning ae0: overflow NIC reset failed then this is the patch for you. I've shared the following together into an archive: ae6.uu - uuencoded enet driver ae6install - install program for the new driver Because I want to try to track what kind of need there is, or how many people will benifit from having patches posted to this group I am asking that you submit a request for this patch to me at the address below. This fix was provided by John Pane. Many thanks go to him for feeding this fix back to Apple so that everyone can benefit from it. Disclaimer: This software is provided on an "AS IS" basis.
