Is it me, or is there something wrong with HFX? I have tried over over again to copy some files to floppy and all I get is error after error. I have even had it double panic me and require me to reboot. Anyone else had these problems... PS. It does work sometimes...

It does work sometimes... I've been using it consistently without any problems. Can you be more specific about what goes wrong? What errors do you get? My version of hfx doesn't copy files from A/UX to MacOS. It works fine
the other way. Have I got a partial implementation or is everybody in
the same boat for now? (BTW - I am running A/UX 1.1.)
On another note, is there anything "special" about the "System" file
in /usr/lib/mac that would preclude one from just hfx'ing a decently
configured MacOS system and using it for the toolbox environment? I've
done so and found that some things don't work (e.g., some fonts I had
modified). Are there any hidden pitfalls?
Please skip the manual quotes. The manual tells us how these things
are *supposed* to work, not how they actually do in all cases. As a
friend at Sun puts it graphically:

Try 'hfx'ing to a floppy. Hfx won't let you copy to the MacOS partition on the A/UX disk (the Sash partition) because it sometimes caused really obscure data corruption. That's actually in the documentation somewhere, but it's not intuitive.
