From: Dick Garner <DICKG@Washington> Anyone out there had any experience using Cromix? In particular, just how compatible is it with Unix, what's the C implementation look like, etc. etc. Naturally, the salesman says it's easy to port software between the two systems and, in fact, Cromix is an "enhanced" Unix. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dick -------

On the Cromix system we typed "boot" and promptly killed the system. The salesmen had no idea what was going on and seemed pretty embarrased. There were four terminals there and the salesmen were busy giving demonstrations at the others when the system suddenly died. In other words, their security leaves a bit to be desired. pur-ee!tony
