(This is the third time I have sent it from as many different news systems. It never appears to make it out there. Forgive me if I repeat myself myself.) I need to get copies of the following files that were damaged when I got my copy of A/UX. I do not have an Apple format tape drive, and would prefer not to have to buy one just to read my A/UX tape. /usr/bin/lp /usr/ucb/uuencode (good thing uudecode works!) /usr/lib/sendmail Anyone willing to uuencode them | mail to me? Source is always acceptable... Also, I would like to find a driver for the TEAC 150 meg tape drive. Does anyone out there have the update service? Is it worth it? What did it cost you? Is anyone maintaining archives of useful A/UX stuff? I (if I ever get any spare time again) am going to pick up all the GNU stuff I can get my hands on and make sure it works. I would rather not spend a lot of time doing things that are unnecessary due to someone else having already done it. I might also be willing to make it available to others (uucp, dialup, once I get the TB2500) if I can get the time to organise things nicely. Does anyone have an A/UX 1.1 bug database? I suppose with 1.1.1.1.1.1.1 looming on the horizon, who cares right? How about comp.unix.aux.bugs.1.1.1....? Does anyone know if 1(.1)+ has the Van Jacobson mods to tcp/ip? I suppose what I am really concerned about is the header prediction/compaction w.r.t. SLIP. Is anyone out there running NFS over SLIP? Are there any Mac's out there directly connected to the internet? Is this possible for private parties? If so, is it affordable for the impoverished masses? Send any and all replies directly to me ... =dap cs.utexas.edu!dell!fubar!dap
