Someone indicated to me that there's a public domain unix for Mac. Does anyone know if such a thing exists and where can I get it from? Thanks, in advance. -- Nadeem Malik. Don't know about PD unix, but Minix for the Macintosh, A.K.A. MacMinix runs as a task under MacOS and has a pretty thorough Unix Version 7 compatible programming environment including C compiler, Emacs clone editor, and about 200 or so libraries and utilities. It runs under MultiFinder too. >Does anyone know if such a thing exists and where can I get it from? It will be available from Prentice-Hall book publishers this Spring. Cost will be under $100. And that includes complete source code for everything but the C compiler and compiler tools. Some fun, huh? It is not vaporware. j ----- Jason Levitt P.O.
