I recently purchased a IIci with A/UX 1.1.1 on the internal 80 meg drive. After trying several combinations, I finally got A/UX happily transferred to my external LaCie 105 meg drive. Unfortunately, the partitions on the 105 meg drive are identical to those on the 80 meg drive. I'd like to expand the partition containing the /usr portion of the file system, but I'm not sure what's involved here. LaCie's SilverLining software certainly has no problem with increasing the partition size, but I know A/UX needs to have its file system informed of the fact. Since I spent ALL the bucks on the machine, and not the A/UX manuals, can someone give me a hint what I need to do? I suspect it's something along the line of "run the partition off to tape, increase the partition size on the disk, make a new file system, restore from tape....". But, I'm not sure of the specifics on "remaking" the file system. Please reply here or E-Mail to: Chuck Shotton (713) 282-6444 cshotton@girch1.hsch.utexas.edu -or- ...!buster!brain!root
