[comp.unix.aux] Will A/UX work with an '030 accelerated Plus or SE?

jjw7384@ultb.isc.rit.edu (Jeff Wasilko) (03/17/90)

Is there any chance that A/UX will run on a 68030 accelerated
Plus or SE?

Should I break down and buy a IIcx (I'd probably have the money for it
sometime next century...)

Thanks,

Jeff

A/UX 1.1 runs on an SE/30 (hence the narrower banner when A/UX
boots - has to fit on the SE/30 screen).

Your easiest course is to trade-in your SE for an SE/30 as this
is guaranteed to work and can be Apple supported if you pay the
money. It would be amusing to try A/UX 1.1.1 on an accelerated
SE, but don't hand over the money in advance...

The SE/30 requires A/UX 1.1.1 (or the just announced 2.0, which will be
out this summer).
