[comp.unix.aux] Apple UNIX mail

rsutc@fornax.UUCP (Rick Sutcliffe) (03/29/90)

I am considering trying to connect my institution to the net via Quickmail
with one of the bridge programs that can communicate with UNIX. As an
alternate, how strong is AUX in the mail area? Specifically, does it have
mail support, and if so what? (Just UUCP, or more) What about bridges
from AUX to Quickmail? The ones I have seen described do not mention AUX
specifically. It seems to be their assumption that one is connecting to a
mainframe or mini via an ethernet, or via modem. Suggestions, anyone?
I do not have a mainframe or minio running UNIX available for a direct connect.
Whatever I do, I want an all micro solution, preferrably an all mac one.
