Actually, I think that the correct statement is "Low cost boards multibus boards designed by hardware phreaks are poor." I think that the problem is that nobody set down a "standard" software interface description for the boards, and everybody has been rolling their own since then. Additionally, the initial set of peripheral boards by Intel were truly baroque... Designing these things for a living, I really should be ashamed to sign my name. Patrick Powell, CCNG, U.Waterloo
