From: Marla <SELINGER.RU-GREEN@Rutgers> My father participates in boat races every week. He has asked me if there is some sort of microcomputer/calculator that the sailors could use to help calculate the race results. They would like a permanent memory of some sort to keep track of boat handicaps, 10-15 different race courses, etc. The program would have to take the handicaps, the course, and the finishing order and times and produce the corrected order of finishing boats. Obviously, sailors are not going to be able to handle anything too obscure. While the HP11-16C calculators might be just the thing for CS people, I don't think my father could work with arithmetic on a stack....Is there anything in the $200 price range (all peripherals included-monitor, etc. if needed) that would fit my description? Please send replies to SELINGER@RUTGERS. I will send a condensation of suggestions along with the final decision to the bboard. Thanks, Marla Selinger -------
