[net.micro] Z800, iAPX432

kh (10/20/82)

The Z8108 is the first of the Z800 series, as is stated in the
article in Electronic Design.
Intel denies all rumors that they are discontinuing the 432.
They are working on a faster version to make it more attractive
to designers. There is a new USENET site, ssovax, connected to
intelqa that proclaims itself "home of the iAPX-432."
They have started work on a 32-bit version of the iAPX-286,
however.

/YAP-iks/ is how I've always heard it pronounced, which is
rare; most people I know just say /eye ay pee eks/.
