[comp.unix.aux] A/UX 2.0 and the Datadesk Switchboard

dittman@skbat.csc.ti.com (Eric Dittman) (08/20/90)

I have a Mac IIfx, a Datadesk Switchboard and A/UX 2.0. When I try
booting A/UX, the system hangs early in the loading process. If I
substitute an Apple ADB extended keyboard A/UX loads successfully.
Has anyone else tried the Switchboard with A/UX? The keyboard works
with no problems under the Mac OS.

Thanks,

I talked to Datadesk tech support. The person I talked to suspected the
problem was due to an ADB incompatibility that had already been fixed.
They sent me a new microcontroller (free, UPS overnight!) and after I
swapped the microcontrollers, the problem was gone.
