I have two questions (sort of) concerning A/UX. 1. Our university is considering buying a site license for MAC TCP/IP. But, we have heard a rumor that MacX comes with MacTCP. Can anyone confirm/deny this? 2. We are trying to prepare a hard disk drive with AUX 2.0 on it to install in case of system crashes. (Our backbone has been making funny noises lately) We installed a fresh copy from tape onto the HD. We booted it on a Mac II (plain II) with no problem. Then, just for grins, we took the drive out of the II and installed it in an SE/30. Wouldn't boot. Actually, it would boot, but it kept coming up with an error message, something about device drivers or something like that. Now, my question is, do we have to install a new copy on the HD everytime we switch machines (a lengthy process at best from that cheesy tape drive we have) or is there some way to get it to reconfigure itself upon boot up? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kent Miller Kmiller@aardvark.ucs.uoknor.edu University of Oklahoma Norman, Oklahoma
