[comp.unix.aux] Formatting 3rd party disks

mikel@dtg.nsc.com (Michael G. Lohmeyer) (09/05/90)

I am sure this has been discussed before, but unfortunately, I was not here
to read it.

I am trying to use a Quantum Prodrive 80 SCSI disk on my
A/UX 2.0 system, but the formating software that came with the drive does
not support A/UX partitions. Is there a program that will format and
partition this drive for me so that I can use it with A/UX. I have
read a mention of a program called Silverlining in a recent posting. Will
this program help. If so, where can I get it, or where can I find another
program that will help (ie downloadable or ftpable or buyable at a computer
store). Any help would be greatly appreciated since my little 80 meg
Apple disk that came with A/UX is rather useless by itself (as I am sure
you all know).
