From: Chuck McManis <MCMANIS@Usc-Eclc> Indeed E & L instruments sells such a beast as the MMD-1 and MMD-2. These are rather sophisticated (Read expensive) micro bread board systems. I have misplaced there address and will send it out if I find it before it appears on the Net at this end. A couple of weeks ago I saw something in a Z80 flavor... anyway, this beast indeed has parallel I/O and a zillion leds, as well as every pin of the chip brought out to the bread board. E&L also sell an expansion card to add memory etc, (I think it comes with 1K or so.) finally the whole thing is in a desk top box, of which the top is covered with the above mentioned paraphenalia (sp?). Last I looked it was about $500. or therabouts. A similar box is made by heathkit using a MC6800 <- only two zeros and is about the same versatility for about 1/3 the price. --Chuck -------
