I am considering purchasing either a Wren V (702 M unformatted) or a Wren VI (766 M unformatted) hard disk for my Mac IIci. (The disk manufactor is now owned by Seagate) I am planning on running AUX 2.0 on it. The questions I have are: 1) There are two version of these SCSI drives. The MacWren version is different from the standard WREN drive because of different firmware on the drives. Do I have to get the MacWren version of the drive for it to work with the Mac? Will the MacWren drive work with other computers (i.e. Sun IPC sparcstation)? 2) Who makes a power supply / cabinet / fan unit with appropiate cabling for this? I know about Unimac, but would like to know some other sources as well. Do they come with formatting software, drivers, etc? 3) Is there any unknown problems running under AUX 2.0? What about formatting the harddisk, etc.? Is there any limits on how large a file systems can be? 4) My last question deals more with AUX 2.0 and the CD-ROM player. I was wondering if anybody else running AUX 2.0 with a CD-ROM unit have had problems with the scsi timing out while reading the drive? There has been a couple of times where the scsi has timed out and recovered reading the data, and also timing out and aborting the read. I was running the command: man -d * | lpr Thanxs in advance.
