From: Bill Rizzi <RIZZI@Usc-Isib>

A friend of mine is interested in compiling some of the
accomplishments of Clive Sinclair other than the reknowned
ZX-81. Does anyone know of his efforts in other areas ?

	Thanks,
		Bill

I recall the following Sinclair products:

"Black Watch" digital watch

At least two calculators, unusually small for their era, and
one (at least) was programmable

A very compact 3 1/2 digit digital multimeter (I have one
of these) later marketed by Radio Shack under their "Micronta"
brand name

I think that each of these was available as a kit. They were
not the first products in their fields, but they were among
the physically smallest and best styled, and priced competitively.

You may well find more Sinclair products by looking through
back issues of the British magazine "Wireless World" at your
library; I believe they would have had their first publicity
there. All the ones I mentioned above were on the American
market, and there may have been some on the British market
that never were sold over here.

before the credit-card sized calculators came out, the sinclair models
were about the smallest i had ever seen -- approximately the volume of
a pack of cigarettes, truly shirt-pocket-portable (this was about 7 years
ago. i havn't seen a sinclair calculator in the stores in a long time).

the sinclair tv also comes to mind. i never saw one close up; i think
they had 2" diagonal screens.

I seem to recall Sinclair audio kits using reject/retested
transistors in UK in early '60's. A friend of mine built one and
it didn't work but Sinclair went on to make power amp kits and . . .
