Has anyone got the Rand Mail Handler system "mh" going under AUX v2.0? I'm struggling with all the options that define the Unix dialects, etc. Thanks for any suggestions, Martin Ewing, Yale University Ewing@Yale.edu, 203-432-4243

A number of people around here are running mh mail under 2.0. As I recall it compiled straightforwardly, but that was a while ago and my memory is a little dim. Are you having any particular problems? -------- mh works just fine under A/UX (once you get sendmail properly configured -- thanks Alexis). Here's a copy of my conf/MH file. I believe this has answers to all the questions, but if anything's missing, let me know and I'll try to find it for you. Incidentally, the puzzling reference to /usr/local/lib/mh6/more in my MH file is simply a symbolic link to /bin/more. I wanted a convenient way to replace this globally without rebuilding the entire mh6 software. ----- CUT HERE ----- bin /usr/local/bin debug off etc /usr/local/lib/mh6 mail /usr/mail mandir /usr/local/man manuals standard chown /bin/chown editor /usr/local/lib/mh6/prompter remove mv -f mts sendmail bboards off pop off options ATHENA ATZ MORE='"/usr/local/lib/mh6/more"' SYS5 MHRC UCI ccoptions -O curses -lcurses ldoptions -s ranlib off ----- CUT HERE ----- Herb Weiner (herbw@wiskit.pdx.com)

Thanks to all of you who gave me your mh setup files. I've tried one and things are beginning to work. This UNIX/configuration business is no joke. I've received 3 people's ideas of how the setup should be done, and all are significantly different. Martin Ewing, Yale University, Ewing-Martin@Yale.edu
