[comp.unix.aux] Anyone ported mh?

ewing-martin@CS.YALE.EDU (Martin Ewing) (11/28/90)

Has anyone got the Rand Mail Handler system "mh" going under AUX v2.0?
I'm struggling with all the options that define the Unix dialects, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions,

A number of people around here are running mh mail under 2.0. As I
recall it compiled straightforwardly, but that was a while ago and my
memory is a little dim. Are you having any particular problems?

mh works just fine under A/UX (once you get sendmail properly configured
-- thanks Alexis). Here's a copy of my conf/MH file. I believe this
has answers to all the questions, but if anything's missing, let me
know and I'll try to find it for you. Incidentally, the puzzling
reference to /usr/local/lib/mh6/more in my MH file is simply a symbolic
link to /bin/more. I wanted a convenient way to replace this globally
without rebuilding the entire mh6 software.

Thanks to all of you who gave me your mh setup files. I've tried
one and things are beginning to work.

This UNIX/configuration business is no joke. I've received 3 people's
ideas of how the setup should be done, and all are significantly different.
