[comp.unix.aux] Another GCC release, and a clarification

coolidge@cs.uiuc.edu (John Coolidge) (12/12/90)

gcc-1.37.95 for A/UX is now available from wuarchive.wustl.edu in
systems/aux/gnu/gcc-1.37.95.bin.tar.Z. No known bugs are fixed in
this release; however, it now includes the man page, commando
dialog, and installation instructions. The following note is also
included in the README (and applies to all previous test releases
of gcc (any with 1.37.9* in their name):

NOTE: gcc 1.37.95 is a pre-test release. This means that it is an
intermediate FSF release. It is not known to be bug free. When the next
major release comes out, you should remove gcc 1.37.95 and replace it
with the major release. Pre-test releases should not be kept around
once the next major release comes out. I believe gcc 1.37.95 is more
stable than any previous major release; nevertheless, it is a pretest
release and distributed only on the condition that it is unsupported
and should be deleted when the next major release comes out.

Installation instructions for gcc-1.37.95 are available in the
file INSTALL.gcc-1.37.95.aux on wuarchive. They are also included
in the tar archives.
