[net.micro] VIC-20 serial bus info wanted

I would like to interface my VIC-20 to another computer using the VIC's
serial bus (not the RS-232 interface).
Does anyone have information on the timing and/or the protocol used by
that beast?  I have started to disassemble their ROM, but that's painful.
