[comp.unix.aux] ISO format Compact Disks?

gilbertd@cricket.bio.indiana.edu (Don Gilbert) (02/13/91)

I seem to recall from A/UX manuals that A/UX (2.0) can only read
Macintosh (or A/UX) formatted compact disks. I have the Apple CD ROM
drive (including Mac OS drivers for ISO format), and an ISO 9660
format CD that I'd like to read from A/UX. Is that possible yet?
Will it be possible in future?

Thanks -- Don

A/UX can only read A/UX filesystems on CD-ROM; basically the CD must
look like a hard drive, partitioned and all. ISO 9660 support currently
exists only under the Mac OS.

Can't comment on availability, but we know ISO 9660 support will be
    important for A/UX.
