For you who like war games EASTERN FRONT by APX
for the Atari computers is the best wargame I have
ever seen for ANY computer system.
For example Eastern Front uses PM graphics to move the
the cursor smoothly over the foreground without disturbing
the terrain and troops in the background. Multiple redfined
charcter sets permit a colorful and detailed terrain along
with text display. A custom display list is responsible for
the games unique screen format. Multiple display list
interrupts allow for up to eighteen colors on the screen at
the same time. Fine scrolling (Both horizontal and vertical)
gives Eastern Front a map of ten screens,( 2 1/3 horizontal
and 4 1/3 vertical). Using the joy sticks allow the maped
to be scrooled in from any of 8 directions.
The game approximates the true historical perspective of the
campaign, making it both complicated and intresting to play.
Also the longer you take to plan your move ;gives the computer
longer to plan its move.
