From: Larry Seiler <SEILER@Mit-Xx> Does anyone know of a C compiler that runs on a DEC computer (almost any DEC computer) and produces code for an 8 bit microprocessor (almost any 8 bit microprocessor)? It would be best if it ran on TOPS-20 or VAX/UNIX or 11/70 UNIX, but I can get hold of other hosts if necessary. I'm even less concerned what microprocessor it's for, although I would avoid the 8080 if I had my druthers. Why am I asking this? I'm designing a piece of custom hardware with a microprocessor controller, and speed and code space are much less important than ease of implementation and maintainability. Anyway, I would appreciate whatever information you have. Many thanks, Larry Seiler -------
