We're still running Aux 1.1.1 on a Mac II cx, and are having problems when printing to an attached Epson-compatable Bull printer. The first page and a half or so of the printout appears, and then the printer stops. It seems that an 'lp' request causes an extra lpsched daemon to start, which in turn cause a lockfile to be created. I've followed the instructions in the manual about how to clear up this situation, but it happens again with the first lp command. Rebooting doesn't help. This behavior began after I submitted a dozen or so lp commands via a script on a remote system which issues rsh commands for the Mac in question. The effect would have been for these (largish) print jobs to arrive in very rapid sequence. But, who knows if this was a factor. Prior to this development, we'd been printing for months with no problems. Any ideas? I suppose I could reinstall the operating system, but would prefer not to.
