[comp.unix.aux] HD space needed for A/UX

meyer@deadzone.uucp (Doron Meyer) (06/13/91)

Assuming I wanted about 10-15 megs of HD space in the System 6.X partition,
and enough room to do some development on the A/UX side, what size hard drive
would you suggest that I purchase?

Thanks.
Doron

1) Why 10-15 megs ? It's too small for practical use, and still you
only need 2 megs to boot A/UX.

2) It's UNIX, right ? Buy as much disk as you can manage. APS has good
prices on 300 meggers (and other drives...) for instance. 300 MB
seems to be the minimum comfortable size if you want some swap,
MacOS space, X windows, maybe news, and do serious development.

RCS eats disk, too :-)
