[comp.unix.aux] lpr and atprint failure with QMS appletalk

dlf@janus.Berkeley.EDU (Dan Flamm) (06/24/91)

Dear Net,

I am having the same problem Craig Ruff reported in his April 25 posting
to this comp.unix.aux. Apparently Craig has not solved it yet, so we both
would appreciate some help from Apple.

In addition, I chased down the workings of A/UX lpr, and tried to print
to the QMS over Appletalk using atprint(1) directly. Atprint reports
the QMS Postscript diagnostic message to the control window, Status: Idle
(paraphrase). Hence atprint is not sending the file to the QMS.

If we can't get any help form Apple, could we at least get the atprint source
so we can fix it ourselves? Thanks!
