This verges on being a FAQ (and it's probably just a simple Unix question). I have A/UX 2.01 on an internal 80 meg drive on a IIci, and need to move it to an external 205 meg drive. The external drive already has an A/UX 2.0 file system (and A/UX 2.0) in partitions that are substantially larger than those on the 80 megger (so DD is out). A) Can I just "rm -r *" at the root level on the external drive and copy all the A/UX 2.01 files from the internal drive? B) If so, what is the best way to move all the files from the internal to the external? (I assume I have to boot off the internal drive's A/UX, and mount the external drive's file system. How can I avoid copying the mounted external drive over itself?) Thanks!
