[comp.unix.aux] A Few Problems

tucker@progress.COM (Kyle Tucker) (06/28/91)

Hi, I have a MAC IIfx running AUX 2.0 and I am having a few problems I'd
like to
clear up if possible:

	1. When I click on Commandshell from the Apple menu I don't get a Command
shell window as the manula leads me to believe I should. Any guesses??

	2. I am getting a core dump /core after each reboot. I tried putting
set -x at the begging of a few key shells so they'd show up on the console
such as /etc/rc, but this didn't produce any output so I don't know how to find
the command that's producing it. Every thing seems to work okay
including network.

	3. The installion of X11 left several files on the root, like X11install
and it's other files. Shouldn't these have been cleaned up.

	4. The kconfig is used to raise NFILE and and NPROC. It doesn't complain
about my values; 600 and 150 respectively; but after boot, kconfig -a
shows that these
values havent gone past 200 and 100 respectively. Is this a max. Also,
are there no
parameters for SHM??? and SEM??? in the kernel??

Thanks for any help in any of this matters.
