Sorry about that screw-up. (first time on the net)

I'm considering purchasing my first computer and although
I try to keep up to date on what's available, I have a some
questions which I hope a few of you will be able to answer.

	1) Are people generally happy with the Atari 800, or
do they find its capabilities are limited to games.
I have read that Atari is the way to go for game
playing, but I am also quite interested in hacking.

	2) How is the Atari Pascal?

	3) Does anyone market a C compiler for Atari? How about
	    a UNIX look-alike?

	4) Can anyone provide me with info on the new Atari systems
(600, etc..) and non-Atari hardware for the Atari computers?

	5) Does anyone have experience with OS-9, a UNIX like system
sold by Microware? Specifically on the Apple with a 6809
	    board.

	6) What's the latest rumor/fact concerning Apple's Apple ][
replacement. (I've heard a few things which sound very
	    nice)

	7) I'd like some opinions on what I should buy with $1000 -
$2000. Atari? Apple? A full blown Commodore 64?
	    I know I want a disk drive, Pascal AND/or C, and something
remotely comparable to UNIX. (if possible) These don't
all have to come at once, but I sure want to be able to
	    have the capability there.

			Thanks in advance,
