Let me tske a few minutes to clarify some of the comments I made concerning the _Coca-Cola_Kid_ and to address so of the comments made by Roger. True, The Coca Cola kid gets the girl after he realizes that the fight is not worth the effort. But that's not what I referred to when I mentioned the "high point" of the movie. The scene I was referring to was when he read in the paper that McDowell (?) blew up his factory. What I got from it was that the Coca Cola kid thought it appeared to McDowell that he had slept with McDowell's daughter as a way of getting the franchise, which he did NOT do. Further more, if it had not been for McDowell's daughter, the Coca Cola Kid would have made his midnight appointment with McDowell. As far as destroying a whole way of life goes. I guess I'd just have to say that life is always changing. Becker's aim was not to destroy McDowell's business, but to add to it. I'd also like to point out that McDowell, once he realized that Becker (finally remembered Coca Cola Kid's name) was someone he could respect, initiated and made a pitch for the two companies to do business together. Seems that even McDowell was not concerned with "ruining a whole way of life".C On the subject of stereotyping Austrailians, I honestly wasn't trying to typecast. I was just noting that the minor characters were "quirky" and amusing. I have no idea if they are representative of Austrailians or not. I've never been ther and have only ever talked to one Austrailian. C Nope. They didn't "make a special cut of this movie for Objectivists". You and I saw the same movie, but saw it from very different perspectives. Stacy Powers, a "kinder, gentler" objectivist
