[comp.parallel] Occam II and Occam I

conor@uunet.UU.NET (Conor O'Neill) (11/09/88)

If you need to know the differences between occam 1 and occam 2, I would
suggest that you look in the Occam 2 reference manual, published by
Prentice Hall International, ISBN 0-13-629312-3.

The main differences arise from occam 2 being strictly typed, and allowing
channel protocols to support this.
It also allows abbreviations to speed up access to commonly used data
structures.

There is infact quite a lot of difference, so it would be necessary to read
the book.
