>Is there anyone on the list who has, or has any experience with, >an AMT DAP? Ours has arrived with the software in an unworkable >state. I am one of the people concerned with the DAP at QMC so you should be able to get my address from this note. (I am also listed in the na-net catalogue). We have used the DAP software for about ten years and have always found it extremely easy to use. In particular the Fortran Plus system is extremely flexible for all sorts of applications. We dont particularly recommend the use of APAL, because of the flexibility at the Fortran level for many types of application. We have had several hundred users using the QMC DAP as a national service for Scientific and engineering applications, Image and signal processing, environmetal studies and a variety of other problems including several in number theory. We do run courses here if anyone from your establishment is interested in attending, or could put them on there if you or AMT is willing to pay the cost! For further information you might find it helpful to contact either Jack Dongarra or Danny Sorensen at Argonne. I and my colleagues would be happy to help in whatever way we can Best wishes, Heather Liddell (Director QMC Centre for Parallel Computing)
