In the manual, it says the power supply would cause too much interference for the drive to operate. Thanx, John Labovitz (RMS.G.HNIJ@MIT-OZ) Its not that the power supply cause's too much interference, its that the CRT noise, generates enough RF crap to interfere with reliably writing on 80 track double sided drives (the noise margin is very low).. If you put a MU metal shield around the drives (as Zenith is doing now..) everything works fine. Incidently, I am using a Z90-82 with built in 40 track ss drive, with no problems. Mitch.
