[comp.parallel] Simulators for parallel architectures

swm@unccvax.UUCP (swami manohar) (04/05/89)

I am going to teach a graduate-level course on
parallel architectures in the Fall. It will be really nice
if the students can have access to at least
a couple of different parallel architecture simulators
Please let me know (by email, I will summarize)
how to go about obtaining the simulators for one or more of
the following machines: (The simulators should be
able to run in an Un*x environment)

Intel hypercubes
BBN Butterfly
The connection machine
Sequent Balance/Symmetry(?)
etc.
etc.

Thanks for your time

Swami

Due to horrendous stupidity on my part
I lost the large number of responses I got
in response to my request for simulators
for parallel architectures. A number of
responses were also about access to real machines
(CM on ARPANET and the Syracuse parallel
architecture center etc). I actually sent
acknolwedgement messages to all the
senders and promptly lost their replies
and addresses. Please bear with me and resend
your responses. New responses (now with a
will-not-be-lost guarantee) are welcome. i will
summarize in a few days.

Swami

PS: I have the response from ephraim@think.com (so
no need to resend)
