Can someone from the Linda group please tell me about the relationship between Linda tuples, and the type system of the language in which it is embedded. Does Linda presuppose run-time type checking of the data communicated using the tuple space, or does it allow (or presuppose?) static compile-time checking? What are thought to be the issues on these questions in the Linda environment? I'm not particularly interested in problems which arise through mixed-language programming (I can already solve those, to the extent that it is possible), unless they are, for some reason, particularly important when using Linda.
