[comp.parallel] Optical Crossbars

I am looking for articles & references on Optical Crossbars, particularly
those implemented with optical waveguides (fiber optics & integrated optics).
Theoretical, experimental, and combinations are of interest.

My apologies to the net for not posting this information sooner.  As you
recall, I asked several weeks ago for information about optical crossbars.
Appearing first are the replies I received; next I list the major

While at Texas Instruments I wrote a paper about Gaussian elimination
on an optical corssbar switch.  You can find it in the magazine:
"Mathematics and Computers in Simulation" Dec 1987 or i cn send
