We are trying to collect material that would be useful for a mathclinic (class) on mathematical software. Our objective is to teach the principles involved in developing mathematical software and actually have the class develop some software that is of commercial quality. We are interested in: 1. papers 2. books 3. proceedings 4. reports 5. notes 6. information on courses offered at other institutions, and lessons learned 7. etc... The topics that we are interested in are: 1. principles 2. testing 3. documenting 4. standards We are all ready familar with many of the mathematical software libraries that exist. We are interested in how to create them, rather then what is available. I apologize for posting this to so many different groups, but we putting the class together for the 1989-90 school year. Follow-up postings should be to comp.software-eng or you can send e-mail to: vbandy@pikes.colorado.edu or vbandy@copper.colorado.edu Thanks in advanced! ----- Victor Bandy University of Colorado at Denver Mathematics Department
